In the hope that someone would recognize her, they also shared pictures of her on social media. After closed-circuit television footage showed Nika Shahkarami entering a Tehran building, authorities said she was found dead on September 21. Authorities have publicly concluded that she fell from the building’s roof. However, her mother claimed that Iranian security personnel shot and killed her at a protest.
